US Markets

The US markets were almost flat on Monday.

Dow Jones closed at 13950.98 up 43.73 points or 0.31 percent.
Nasdaq Composite closed at 2697.33 down 9.67 points or 0.36 percent .

Europian Markets

The Europian markets also ended flat on Monday.

FTSE (UK) closed at 6697.70 down 19.00 points or 0.28%. .
DAX (Germany) closed at 8105.69 up 12.92 points or 0.16%
CAC (France) closed at 6125.60 up 7.64 points or 0.12%.

Asian Markets

The Asian markets closed mixed on Monday.

NIKKEI(JAPAN) closed at 18238.95 up 254.81 points.
HANG SENG (HONG KONG) closed at 22953.94 down 145.35 points.
KOSPI (SOUTH KOREA) closed at 1949.51 down 13.42 points.
STRAITS TIMES (SINGAPORE) closed at 3653.23 down 1.38 points.
Composite Index (CHINA) Closed at 3821.91 down 92.479 points.
SENSEX (INDIA) closed at 15311.22 up 38.5 points.
NIFTY (INDIA) closed at 4512.15 up 7.6 points.

Today’s Market outlook

The quarterly results have started coming in and most of the results are better than expectations and the markets are now moving up on the back of fundamentals. The global markets have been flat yesterday and the Asian markets have also opened flat today morning, TCS in its results has handled the rupee part in a better manner and the overall results are also good, the markets should open firm on the back of good quarterly results.

Stocks to watch

Petronet LNG

The company has been in an uptrend for quite some time and the overall oil and gas sector is also looking good. The company has announced very good numbers yesterday and the profits have doubled in this quarter. The technical charts are also suggesting an upmove from here. Yesterday the stock was closed at Rs. 61.70, it can be bought near these levels for a short term target of Rs. 75.

PFC

The stock has seen a sharp run up in the last few days and some more upside is left to be played out. The stock was closed at Rs. 195.65 yesterday, it can be bought for a short term target of Rs.210.

Reliance Petroleum

RPL is showing some very strong patterns on charts, it has a strong support at Rs. 114 and is now ready for a big upmove. The stock was closed at Rs. 115.10 yesterday, buy it at these levels and hold it for about 6 months for some decent upmove.

Noida Toll Bridge

The company is going to announce its quarterly numbers today and is expected to post some very good numbers, the stock has been hovering around Rs. 26 levels for a long time and in the last few trading sessions it has started moving up and yesterday it was closed near Rs. 30. The current uptrend should take the stock to Rs. 36 which is a strong resistance and if crossed it may move up to Rs. 42 and then to Rs. 50.
