Stock Market Tips for 20th March 2007

US markets have closed well in the green and Asian markets have also opened firm. US fed will meet today to take a decision on interest rates and market consensus is that the rates will remain unchanged. If this is confirmed by the fed and it comes out with some positive comments on US economy then further rally in US markets is expected.

The stock is looking very strong; overall the telecom sector is looking good. Yesterday it was closed around Rs. 93 and is expected to acieve a level of Rs. 105 to 110 in a short span of time. Since it is a new listing, not much data is available for technicals. Still the movement of the stock after its listing day has been consistent and is moving upside slowly and steadily.
Jayshree Tea and Mcleod Russel
The tea sector had been in the phase of consolidation for a long time and a bounce back was expected. Yesterday the tea stocks started their upmove and it is good time for traders to ride the upmovement in the short term. Two good stocks from the sector are Jayshree Tea and Mcleod Russel. Yesterday they closed at Rs. 122.35 and 67.80 respectively. Try to enter the counters early in the morning to get the best price as these stocks are expected to shoot up early in the morning.
