The US markets closed marginally down on Monday.

Dow Jones closed at 13759.06 down 61.13 points or 0.44 percent.
Nasdaq Composite closed at 2667.95 down 3.27 points or 0.12 percent.

Europian Markets

The Europian markets closed almost flat on Monday.

FTSE (UK) closed at 6465.90 up 9.20 points or 0.14%.
DAX (Germany) closed at 7787.92 down 6.51 points or 0.08%
CAC (France) closed at 5692.49 down 8.16 points or 0.14%.

Asian Markets

The Asian markets except Nikkei closed in the green on Monday.

NIKKEI(JAPAN) closed at 16312.61 down 101.18 points.
HANG SENG (HONG KONG) closed at 26551.94 up 708.16 points.
KOSPI (SOUTH KOREA) closed at 1919.26 up 10.29 points.
STRAITS TIMES (SINGAPORE) closed at 3639.02 up 96.8 points.
Composite Index (CHINA) Closed at 5485.01 up 30.339 points.
SENSEX (INDIA) closed at 16845.83 up 281.6 points.
NIFTY (INDIA) closed at 4932.2 up 94.65 points.

Today’s Market outlook

Yesterday the NIFTY sustained above 4900 and closed near 4930 levels. The markets are showing great strength led by Oil & Gas and power sectors. The Sensex is now all set to conquer 17000 and the NIFTY is heading towards 5000 levels in the short term.
